This month has been crazy between my mom being in the hospital and the Cons and my squire getting knighted, and all the other stuff I’ve been very obligated and willing to do, I’m tired and I need a break. Anyway, watching the news last night I saw a completely different take on what happened.   I’ve looked at the Channel 2 page and have yet to see them post about it.  However, their news cast seemed to have missed the point on what happened.  The reporter didn’t stick around long, got confused about who was doing what at the rally.  KHOU however, seemed to have a good report and talked to both sides.  Their link is here.

My take:  We came, had a rally, lots of great speakers and bbq. We cheered on NASA and pledged to badger Congress about keeping our jobs.  The tea partiers showed up with their negative hate Obama signs and got rained on.   Pretty simple really.

That same storm is still raging out there and keeping me from going to the big Boaters flea market happening right next door.  I could possibly stand out on the deck and wave at them.  I may be going to the Coffee Oasis later.  There is another poetry reading going on in Houston today, but if the weather is going to be bad, I may give that a miss.  It’s in the Heights, a beautiful place, but not if I have to drive through a flood to get there.

All I have to say about this is, Sweet.  The government shouldn’t be in the business of marrying people anyway.  Leave that up to your local religious institution of your choice.
