Well, I wouldn’t call it selling out so much as I would say it’s being practical.  I’m putting ads on the wordpress blog.  I think they will stay on the wordpress blog and not move it to others.  I’m still seeing how this will work out.  There are already ads on the LJ blog and it enables me to have more features.  This will enable me to perhaps recoop my costs of the page.  I am still awaiting Google’s approval of my account.  They have some very interesting rules and I think they will be a good service.  They do inline text ads.  That in itself is interesting in that they are very inobtrusive.  You just hover your cursor over a highlighted word and the ad appears conserning that word or phrase.  Very ingenious.  Second, they forbid you to point to or encourage your readers to click on ads.  I like that.  They also forbid the owners to click on their own ads.  This understandable and punishable by loss of the account.  You would think that was a no brainer.  hah.  Anyway, I hope it’s not to annoying to readers if a banner appears on the top.  But in these times, anything coming in is good.
