Chaosbutterfly

I’m off for the next week until the 2nd. So, I’ve been hanging around here getting things done for a change. Wow. I’m at my boat during daylight hours. This is nice. I have my mother’s dog, Bonnie here with me. My mom took off for either Louisiana or San Antonio or something to visit inlaws who are allergic to dogs, so I am dogsitting Bonnie. She’s a good girl too. I think she’s a sheltie. I don’t know much about dogs but she’s all black and furry like a tiny collie. She’s ok inside the boat, but she’s not to sure about that getting on and off thing. That water is a bit much for her and she tends to put on the breaks when I try to coax her onto the boat. I’ve got a few of her favorite toys and her bed and she’s quite happy once we get aboard and she’s inside. She loves walkies around the Marina though. Lots of fun stuff to explore.
I’ve now had time to look again at the engine. My brother in law suggested I had a thermostat problem so I’ve opened it up to look at the thermostat to determine it’s not the thermostat. There is no thermostat. It’s a direct cooling engine and it looks like the previous owner decided that a thermostat was too much trouble. In fact, there was no gasket where one should be there either, he had some blue silicon gel stuff there. Most of it was pealing away. Eww. Gawds this thing is jury rigged.
